An Obituary: Leonard H. Kieley

Leonard H. Kieley passed away on August 15, 2020, shortly before his 101st birthday. Mr. Kieley was a business and civic leader during Bedford’s transition from a small agricultural town to a high-technology suburb. The proprietor of a fuel oil business, Mr. Kieley was a member of the Bedford Rotary Club, a founder of the Wedgewood Club, and a member of the committee that oversaw the conversion of the junior high school (now Town Hall) to Center Elementary School. He was involved with the creation of the Bedford Santa program in 1946 and marched as a Minute Man in the 1960s. He also was elected to the Planning Board.
