Gov. Baker’s Covid-19 Update Held at Boston MedFlight on Tuesday

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker presented Tuesday’s Covid-19 press briefing in Boston MedFlight’s hangar at Hanscom Field

Boston MedFlight, the nonprofit organization based at Hanscom Field in Bedford that for 35 years has provided critical care medical transport to patients in need by air and ground, hosted Governor Charlie Baker for his daily COVID-19 press briefing on Tuesday.  He was joined by Marylou Sudders, Secretary of Health and Human Services as well as Maura Hughes, CEO of Boston MedFlight.

The Governor toured the facility and praised the Boston MedFlight teams for their work in transporting nearly 700 of the area’s sickest COVID-19 patients from local community hospitals to larger medical centers, as many as 12-15 a day during the peak of the current pandemic.  He referred to the Boston MedFlight crews as “unsung heroes.”
