What is Kids’ Club?

Kids’ Club is now in its 28th year, having grown to current licensed capacity of 246 children/day in grades K-5. Our staff provides a year-round, warm and nurturing environment in which our children play, draw, create, recreate, socialize, play gaga, dance, build, do homework, and more, every day under the care and guidance of our exceptional staff. Kids’ Club is administered by the Town of Bedford Recreation Department, licensed by the Massachusetts Office of Early Education and Care, and accredited by The National School-Age Care Alliance in 2002.

When will Kids’ Club be open this fall?

All children in Bedford have been assigned to a cohort for the fall and we are looking forward to being open for those of you who will need us.

  • Children in Cohort A, who will be attending school on Mondays and Thursdays, will be able to attend Kids’ Club on Tuesdays and/or Fridays.
  • Children in Cohort B, who will be attending school on Tuesdays and Fridays, will be able to attend Kids’ Club on Mondays and/or Thursdays.
  • Kids’ Club will be open from 7:30 am- 4:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and will be closed on Wednesdays for deep cleaning
  • All children in grades K-5 will attend Kids’ Club at 12 Mudge Way in the Town Center Building; there will not be a site at Lane School this fall.
Is financial aid available?

Yes. As always, financial aid will be available and we will continue to participate in the Commonwealth’s voucher program. Please be in touch with Amy Hamilton ([email protected]) directly to inquire about those programs.

Will my child be able to work on their remote learning while at Kids’ Club?

Yes!  Kids’ Club will be able to support all children with their remote learning when we open, with wireless network access points in each classroom and dedicated time for the children to log in and participate in their synchronous and asynchronous programs under our supervision.

The new format will certainly take some getting used to, as we will be navigating the many different class schedules for the children while also making sure they are able to eat a snack, have lunch, go outside, and socialize with their friends here at Kids’ Club.

Questions?

Please be in touch with Dan Brosgol, Director of Kids’ Club, or Lisa Silva, Administrative Assistant of Kids’ Club, if you have any questions about membership or the program for the fall.
