Joan McNaught passed away on October 24, 2020. A Bedford resident since 1937, Ms. McNaught lived in her family home until her death. After college, she joined Lincoln Labs and moved to MITRE Corporation as part of the SAGE team. Ms. McNaught became one of MITRE Corporation’s earliest employees and their first woman department manager. She retired in 1991 as MITRE’s Manager of Information Services. There were always dogs in her life: She bred several English Cocker Spaniel champions as well as raising other champions as a member of the Ladies Dog Club.
Visitation at the Bedford Funeral Home on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A private funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church followed by interment at Shawsheen Cemetery.
