Bedford TV’s Giving Tuesday Fundraiser to Feature Locally-produced Videos

November 27, 2020

Bedford TV will present an extravaganza of locally-produced videos to celebrate its annual fundraiser on Tuesday, December 1.

Bedford TV is the town’s non-profit community-access television station. Its mission is “to make media available, reflective, and responsive to the needs of the community.”

The “virtual video fundraiser” coincides with “Giving Tuesday,” described as a global day of generosity. Half of the donations raised will be directed to the Bedford Food Pantry.

“On Giving Tuesday, we will showcase the talents of our friends and neighbors in and around Bedford,” said Katie Duval, executive director. Several of the videos produced and submitted for the event are musical performances, she said. Also on the agenda are some vintage segments from Bedford TV programming.

“Families, businesses, companies, community centers, and organizations around the world will come together to support the charitable causes close to their hearts,” Duval continued. “This year, Bedford TV has partnered with the Bedford Food Pantry to support the needs of our community during the pandemic.”

Viewers may watch any or all of the videos on Bedford TV’s YouTube channel starting at 10 a.m., and may donate throughout the day. Gifts may be made online or by mail to Bedford TV, South Road, Bedford 01730.

“Bedford TV is committed to making a difference by educating and entertaining Bedford residents. When you donate to Bedford TV, you are helping us continue our mission to make media available, reflective, and responsive to the needs of our community,” said Duval.
