Saturday’s cast

Students in the Bedford High School Performing Arts Department are fine-tuning preparations for their production of “She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms,” scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, November 20 and 21, via livestream.

Tickets are $10 per adult and $8 per student or senior citizen and are available through the Performing Arts Department website: https://bhschorusandtheater.weebly.com/tickets.html

For this virtual performance, ticket sales are based on the number of devices watching the stream, rather than the number of people viewing per device. Ticket buyers are encouraged to make an additional donation toward the performance commensurate with the number of people in their household who’ll be watching the show.

Audience members will receive a unique code via email for their chosen performance(s) after purchasing their tickets.

“She Kills Monsters,” by Qui Nguyen, is the story of average Ohio teenager Agnes Evans coming to terms with the death of her younger sister Tilly, a free spirit who felt most comfortable in the world of Dungeons & Dragons.

The show has a different cast each night. Faculty Director Katrina Faulstich and the students encourage audience members to purchase tickets for both performances, to enjoy the impressive depth of talent among BHS students.

Students are bringing home (or having delivered) their costumes Friday. Normal trappings of a play — costumes, makeup, props, sets via virtual backgrounds — will be part of the landscape for this show.
