Awaiting distribution, just some of the toys collected in 2019

“The residents of Bedford have always generously supported the Bedford Fire Department’s annual toy drive, Toys for Local Children,” said Captain Mark Sullivan last week.

“But due to current Covid restrictions, the Department will not be able to collect toy donations at the fire station as we have done for many years.”

Captain Sullivan went on to announce that the Fire Department will provide two occasions for toy donations in the coming weeks.

From 10 am until 2 pm on Sunday, December 13, and Sunday, December 20, the Department will host a drive-by toy collection in the rear parking lot at Bedford Library/High School (adjacent to Liljegren Way).

Donations can be made by placing unwrapped toys in a box as residents drive through the lot.

The Fire Department thanks Bedford residents for their support and hopes that everyone enjoys their holiday season.
