The Bedford Citizen’s new editorial intern traces his interest in news writing to a high school English teacher.
Jared Graf is a senior at Framingham State University, where his major is English with a concentration in journalism. He will be handling a broad range of assignments for The Citizen until mid-June.
The Marian High School teacher, he said, “encouraged my writing and suggested I pursue a career in the English field. Since then I decided to look into journalism because I’ve always been into watching the news and receiving information.”
At FSU, “my interest in journalism peaked after taking an introduction to journalism course. I joined Framingham State’s independent student-run newspaper over two years ago as a reporter and am now the arts and features editor.”
“I’m currently looking forward to contributing my own knowledge and skills toward helping the town of Bedford receive honest and trustworthy information,” he stated.
