Candlelight Vigils for Rhonda Pattelena

Rhona Pattalena

Angela Patch, Melissa Maria, and Ashley Caiazzo have organized a candlelight vigil in memory of Rhonda Pattelena, the Bedford woman who was murdered on Short Sands, Beach in York, Maine.

The vigil will be held this Friday, April 2  at 7:15 p.m. It will be live-streamed so that it can be viewed during a local vigil on Bedford Common, and by those at home.

Candlelight Vigil for Rhonda Pattelena at Short Sands Beach, York, Maine on Friday, April 2, at 7:15 pm

“Please join us for a candlelight vigil for Rhonda, at her favorite spot. She would want everyone to come whether you knew her personally or heard of her tragic story. Come share in a night of comfort, support, and awareness, let’s make her favorite place have an everlasting memory of who she is and how loved she is. Say some words or just listen. Light a candle and join in giving strength and kind support to all family and friends affected by this tragedy. She would want her favorite spot to be somewhere we can go to feel comfort and remember her love of the beach and not the horrific acts that took place there. We hope to see you all there Friday, April 2 at 7:15 p.m.

For those who are unable to attend, we will be live streaming this on Facebook Live.

Candlelight Vigil for Rhonda Pattelena on Bedford Common Friday, April 2, at 7:15 pm

Shannon Leonard and Mark Bailey have organized a Candlelight Vigil on Bedford Common for those who cannot attend the York event. “If you are not able to attend the vigil for Bedford resident Rhonda Pattelena in York, ME, please join us on the Bedford Town Common for a candlelight vigil. We’ll stand together with candles, distanced and with masks, and view the livestream from Short Sands Beach in York that Caring Unlimited will host on Facebook live.”

Rhonda’s close friends say that she would want everyone to come whether or not you knew her personally, to lean on each other, get strength from each other, and stand in determination to end domestic violence.
