What Do They Do There Anyway? Drinkworks

/

Do you ever drive around town and see a sign for a business or something else and ask
yourself, “I wonder what they do there?” Some businesses are pretty obvious, Sunoco
Gas, CVS – got it. Cambridge Savings Bank, got it. But what about some of the others?
Our mission is to answer the question – What do they do there anyway?

First up – Drinkworks

Drinkworks is on Route 62 on the way to Burlington, just after you pass under Route 3.  Drinkworks? Working with drinks? A new exercise fad? Water filtration? Bartending school? You can let your imagination go wild.  After driving by it for the 400th time I decided I would solve the problem the way most problems are solved these days. I Googled them. (yes, you could have done this yourself, but with the hands-free driving law….. Let me do it)  It’s actually a pretty cool company. Developed by Keurig Dr Pepper and AB InBev, Drinkworks is an at home cocktail maker.  Drinkworks pods are not K-Cups. They are liquid-filled (not powder), and contain a signature blend of premium spirits, real ingredients, and natural flavors, precisely measured in each sealed unit. Drinkworks proprietary pods  are used with the Home Bar to create perfectly chilled cocktails.  The facility in Bedford is their corporate headquarters.

I reached out to them for more information and heard back from Sarah.

Here’s what she said:

“Drinkworks® is a design-driven, user-centric beverage innovation company defining new ways to make it remarkably simple to enjoy a variety of bar-quality drinks at home with convenience. The Drinkworks Home Bar by Keurig® is a first-of-its-kind appliance designed to use Drinkworks Pods to prepare cocktails, brews, ciders and more at the touch of a button. A joint-venture between Keurig Dr Pepper (Keurig) and Anheuser-Busch InBev, Drinkworks is committed to making the entire drinking experience — from purchase, to creation, to enjoyment — more remarkable through innovation. The company is headquartered in Bedford, MA with facilities in Williston, VT. For more information and to purchase the Drinkworks Home Bar by Keurig®, Drinkworks® Pods and Drinkworks® accessories, visit Drinkworks.com.

Drinkworks Home Bar by Keurig is nationally available on Drinkworks.com, as well as from select e-commerce and brick-and-mortar retailers.”

We have been invited, as journalists, to come try it for ourselves. In the interest of research we may have to accept.

So there you have it. I have a short list of companies I’m curious about, but let me know if you have any questions on others.

Thanks.

Thanks for your article. I have another place to add to your list of companies – Utah State University Stewart Radiance Laboratory on Great Road, going down the hill on your right after going by the town green, Texaco station, and consignment store. Always wondered what they do there and why Utah State University is in Bedford. Thank you
