“Disruption” at Bedford High School

April 30, 2021

Bedford High School administrators and police are investigating a “disruption” that took place Friday at BHS that involved a student.

Principal Heather Galante, in a two-paragraph memorandum to the “BHS Community” sent by email around 3:40 p.m., reported, “Since the matter is still under investigation and involves a student, we are not able to share the full details.”

“Typically, these issues are managed within the main office,” she wrote. “However, some students and adults did witness some of the events.  There were also concerning social media posts that were reported to the main office team.”

Her letter indicated that the school is concerned abut the welfare of the student involved. “We will work with the student and family to ensure the student is cared for while simultaneously ensuring the safety of our building,” she concluded.

Galante said BHS leaders and police are “working collaboratively to ensure the safety of all students, faculty and staff.”
