The webinar, conducted in a question-and-answer format, will feature Bedford’s two most recent moderators, Cathy Cordes and Betsey Anderson. They will review the basis for town meeting in Bedford, how the warrant content is organized, and the moderator’s role, among other topics.

Margot Fleischman, chair of the Select Board, will discuss her board’s role in assembling the warrant, preparing information for voters, and special challenges posed by safety considerations during a pandemic.

Other speakers will be Steven Carluccio, chair of the Finance Committee, and the vice-chair Elizabeth McClung, on their board’s role in reviewing the budget; and Anne Caron and Heather Leavell, residents who will discuss the process they followed to include a proposal to rename Columbus Day on this year’s warrant.
