Bedford High School opened the 2021 girls’ lacrosse season Thursday with a convincing 13-8 win over Westford Academy.
Seven players scored for the Buccaneers, led by senior Co-Captain Allie Zorn with five goals. Sophomore Charlotte Dreyfus, playing her first varsity game in goal, registered four saves for Coach Nikki Lespasio’s team.
The junior varsity made it a clean sweep with a 12-1 won against Westford. Finley Halloran, a freshman, scored three times and added three assists. Sophomore Gianna Ostiguy added three more goals.
Both local teams are back in action Tuesday afternoon with a double-header against Boston Latin School on Sabourin Field.
