Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse Absorbed Two Close Losses to Boston Latin ~ JV Team Bested the Wolfpack Twice

The Bedford High School girls’ lacrosse team absorbed a couple of close losses to the Wolfpack of Boston Latin School last week.

On Thursday, despite 14 goals by juniors, the Buccaneers were edged, 15-14. Allie Zorn had 10 points in this game on four goals and six assists. Abby Morrissey scored five times and assisted on another goal. The other Bucs on the scorecard were Astrid Yerardi (three goals) and Shannon Young (two goals and an assist).

Tuesday the girls fell, 23-14, despite eight points from Zorn (four goals, four assists). Abby and Sophie Morrissey registered three goals apiece, and Bella Seldon added a goal.

Meanwhile, the Bedford junior varsity defeated its Boston Latin counterpart twice last week.

Six girls tallied goals in Thursday’s 6-2 victory. Two days earlier Bedford prevailed 17-9. Three eighth-graders were instrumental in the outcome: Finley Halloran with seven points (two goals, five assists), Izzy King with six (four goals, two assists), and Sam Kinch, with a goal and two assists. Freshman Carolyn Salem added two goals.
