This is Wayland week for undefeated Bedford Bucs softball.
The 7-0 Buccaneers hosted their longtime Dual County League rival on Monday and Friday at 4:30 p.m. On Wednesday at 4, the two teams meet at the Warrior’ diamond.
Bedford improved its 2021 record to 7-0 Friday, completing a sweep of Cambridge Rindge and Latin on Friday with a 12-0 victory.
Kaylee Grace pitched all seven innings for the shutout, allowing just two hits and striking out nine.
The attack was led by Bella Fernald, who was four-for-five with five runs batted in. Other key offensive performances included Cassidy Schuman with five 5 RBI and three runs scored, and Ellie Mitchell with three runs, three hits, and a walk.
