The First Church of Christ’s 70th Annual Strawberry Festival took place on a picture-perfect Thursday evening, with residents and visitors—from a seven-week-old infant to nonagenarians—happily munching homemade biscuits and fresh strawberries topped with a choice of whipped cream or ice cream with chocolate sauce.
For most of the evening, the line extended out to the sidewalk in front. Neighbors greeted neighbors; children waved to friends; family groups were in abundance, many with adult children.
