These and related questions will be addressed in detail by a panel of local experts at a virtual community forum Wednesday evening, June 9, sponsored by The Bedford Citizen.

“The Impact of the Pandemic on Academic Learning: How Schools Will Respond” will be presented as a Zoom webinar. Registration is quick, easy, and free. A Zoom link will be sent to registrants upon registration.

Most of the Bedford Public Schools’ top educators will be on the panel, including Superintendent of Schools Philip Conrad and Assistant Superintendent Tricia Clifford.

Both elementary school principals – Beth Benoit at Davis School and Rob Ackerman of Lane School – also plan to participate, along with the district’s director of special education, Marianne Vines. Sarita Pillai of The Bedford Citizen Board of Directors will host the discussion. There will be opportunities for questions from the audience.

This will be the second in a series of forums presented by The Citizen on pertinent topics in community life.

“We are excited to sponsor this important conversation, and also thrilled that these educational leaders are driving it,” said Teri Morrow, president and publisher. “The Citizen encourages everyone to join the webinar for an authentic and informative assessment on this crucial topic.”
