At its monthly meeting at 7 pm on Thursday, June 17, the Hanscom Area Towns Committee (HATS) will introduce Colonel Katrina C. Stephens who became Commander of the 66th Air Base Wing at Hanscom Air Force in June.
HATS coordinates policies and activities of the four contiguous Hanscom Field towns (Bedford, Concord, Lexington, and Lincoln) along with the U. S. Air Force, the National Park Service, the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), Lincoln Laboratories, and private corporations. Through HATS, the four towns coordinate their efforts in planning, growth management, land use, traffic control, and environmental protection.
HATS seeks to protect and preserve the physical and environmental attributes of the area in the face of expanding institutional and commercial development, increasing traffic and aircraft noise, and other threats to the environment.
It is anticipated that the meeting will take place on Zoom, the link is embedded in the meeting agenda.
If in-person meetings are possible space has been reserved in the Select Board meeting room at Bedford Town Hall. Check this link for updates.
