Beatrice Allene Smith Corcoran passed away on June 27, 2021. Mrs. Corcoran moved to Bedford in 1954 where she co-founded and operated Corcoran Ambulance Serve with her husband Bud from 1961 through the mid-1970s. She was a tutor at the Job Lane Elementary School during the 1970s and was also a longtime member of the Bedford Social Club. She was a member of Grace Chapel in Lexington. Her faith and family were the pillars of her life and she loved to tell stories of prayers answered throughout her life.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 7, at the Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road in Lexington, at 11 am. Visitation immediately prior to the Service from 9:30 am to 11 am.
