A public discussion about the development of 330 South Road—its effect on the neighborhood and the town —will be held via webinar at 7 pm on Wednesday, August 4. The webinar will be open to the public for a discussion of the proposal, concerns, mitigation, and options.

The owners of the property along with their architect, planner/attorney, and engineer will be present to discuss the proposed residential apartments, existing/new buildings, traffic & circulation, visual buffers, and aesthetics.

Redevelopment of the property at 330 South Road first drew community attention at a Planning Board meeting in August 2018. In the intervening years, the Planning Board and the Housing Partnership have held hearings on the project. The Planning Board issued its conditional approval in September 2020.

Originally a farm dating back to 1890, the two barns and a house on the property are historically significant. The owners propose to renovate these structures, maintaining their original look and repurposing them for residential use in a village-style layout with centralized green space.

Currently, the property includes 3 apartments along with contractual businesses such as plumbers, window replacement/tinting, landscapers, and carpenters, as well as vehicle storage.
