Glowing Orange Over Bedford, July’s Thunder Moon is One to Watch

July’s Thunder Moon, captured by Bedford photographer Janice Weichman at 11 p, on July 20, 2021 ~ All rights reserved

Because of stormy weather typically associated with July’s weather pattern, the month’s full moon is often referred to as the Thunder Moon.

Last night’s Thunder Moon, high in the sky near midnight, cast a somewhat eerie orange glow due to smoke in the air from the western wildfires.

The Thunder Moon rose Wednesday evening at 6:26 pm, and will be full at 10:36 pm on Friday, July 23.
