Plaques from the 2019 Bedford Athletic Association Hall of Fame induction

Nominations for inclusion in the Bedford High School Sports Hall of Fame will be accepted until the end of August, as plans are underway for in-person induction ceremonies late in the fall.

The Hall of Fame, sponsored by the Bedford Athletic Association, features individual student-athletes, teams, coaches, and friends connected to interscholastic athletics at BHS. Nominees are evaluated by a selection committee, based on measurable and intangible performance, as well as achievements after BHS.

Letters of nomination should include as much detail as available, including honors, statistics, and testimonials. Letters and supplementary information should be mailed to Keith Mangan, director of athletics, at Bedford High School, 9 Mudge Way, Bedford 01730, or emailed to [email protected].

The BAA launched the Hall of Fame in 2006. The hall represents the ultimate honor for student-athletes— individually and collectively—and coaches

There have been six induction ceremonies, which take place every other year. Each individual or team honoree is introduced through remarks by a teammate, family member, or close friend. The BAA presents each nominee with a special plaque.

Members of the Hall of Fame are recognized on plaques displayed in the corridor alongside the high school gymnasium. BHS Director of Athletics Keith Mangan and his staff are instrumental in working behind the scenes to making each ceremony a success.

More information about the BHS Sports Hall of Fame is available from Mike Rosenberg ([email protected], 781-983-1763).
