At the time the game was called, the Bucs led 3-2. Jack Venuti pitched an excellent game over 5 1/3 innings, allowing only just 2 runs.
Following a triple by Jesse Collins to deep right, Jack Venuti contributed an RBI single in the 3rd inning. In the soggy 5th, the Bucs hitters remained patient at the plate while Winchester pitchers had trouble finding the strike zone, walking in the tying and go-ahead runs.
With the Bucs leading 3-2, the game will resume on Wednesday at 5 pm (note corrected time), at Lexington’s Center 1 field. Immediately following the completion of the final 1 2/3 innings, the winner of the Bucs/Winchester game will play Lexington 1 for the Championship.
The weather looks perfect for baseball. Come out and support the Senior Base Ruth team!
