Bedford Bucs BayState D 9U Claims Lead in Seventh Inning to Defeat Tewksbury U9

Bedford Bucs BayState D 9U snagged a late lead and defeated Tewksbury u9 8-7 on Wednesday.  The game was tied at six with Tewksbury U9 batting in the top of the seventh when Grady C was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

Ryan Houde collected four hits in five at-bats to help lead Bedford Bucs BayState D 9U to victory.  Ryan doubled in the first, doubled in the fourth, singled in the sixth, and singled in the seventh.

In the first inning, Bedford Bucs BayState D 9U got their offense started when Finn Sullivan grounded into a double play, scoring one run.

After Tewksbury u9 scored one run in the top of the sixth, Bedford Bucs BayState D 9U answered with one of their own.  Tewksbury u9 scored when Billy S drew a walk, scoring one run.  Bedford Bucs BayState D 9U then answered when Will Hough was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

Bedford Bucs BayState D 9U notched three runs in the fourth inning.  Ryan Houde and Tim Carroll all drove in runs in the frame.

Tewksbury u9 scored three runs in the third inning.  Tewksbury u9’s big inning was driven by singles by Grady and Jackson S and a walk by Joseph B.

Ryan Houde was credited with the victory for Bedford Bucs BayState D 9U. Ryan went one inning, allowing one run on zero hits and striking out one.  Matt Pietchel threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Gennaro P took the loss for Tewksbury u9. Gennaro lasted three innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out eight.

Rohan Heid started the game for Bedford Bucs BayState D 9U. The pitcher went four innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and striking out three Jason M started the game for Tewksbury u9. The hurler lasted one inning, allowing three hits and one run while striking out one and walking zero

Bedford Bucs BayState D 9U collected 12 hits on the day.  Ryan Houde, Rohan Heid, and Austin Thompson each had multiple hits for Bedford Bucs BayState D 9U.  Ryan Houde led Bedford Bucs BayState D 9U with four hits in five at-bats.

Jackson went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead Tewksbury u9 in hits.  Tewksbury u9 didn’t commit a single error in the field. Arthur B had  14 chances in the field, the most on the team.
