Just when you were ready to worry about the Red Sox latest losing streak, or the lousy weather in July, Covid pushes its way to the top of the headlines yet again.
The delta variant is truly worrisome. It’s been ravaging the country, but for the most part, it is causing the most trouble in areas with low vaccination rates.
Massachusetts has one of the highest percentages of vaccinated people in the country, yet it still is concerning. The recent cluster in Provincetown reminded everyone that the vaccines are not 100% effective in preventing you from contracting it.
There is some reassuring news with the vaccines that the “breakthrough” cases in Provincetown were for the most part not serious, in other words, the vaccines worked exactly as promised.
In fact, there was a recent article stating that Provincetown was a perfect stress test for the vaccines and they did remarkably well.
