Brian F. Collins passed away on October 16, 2021. As a student at Lexington High School, Mr. Collins won the Boston Globe Scholastic Gold Key award for a landscape watercolor painting in 1975. Following graduation, he attended Boston Architectural College and pursued a career in construction. A Bedford resident, Mr. Collins’s company, New England Floor and Partition, focused on ornamental plaster and completed important projects such as the rotunda at Quincy Market, and the concourse ceilings at 185 Franklin. Mr. Collins won an award for the excellence of his work at the Harvard Club on Commonwealth Avenue.
Visiting hours will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 1st, at Brown and Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Road, Belmont. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. on November 2, in the Immaculate Conception Church – Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish. 15 Hawthorne Blvd, Salem Massachusetts. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private and scheduled for a later date.
