An Obituary: Sylvie O’Brien

November 17, 2021

Sylvie O’Brien passed away on October 27, after a courageous, year-long battle with brain cancer. Mrs. O’Brien lived in Bedford for 22 years before moving to Burlington in 2018. Born in France, she grew up near the Swiss border and eventually became a French interpreter in the Boston area, specializing in political asylum and medical cases. She enjoyed helping people and making a real difference in their lives.

A memorial service will celebrate Mrs. O’Brien’s life on Saturday, November 20, at Grand View Farm, 55 Center Street, in Burlington. There will be a more formal service from 1:30 to 2:15 pm, where those who want to can share memories, then refreshments, followed by a time to visit from 2:15 to 4 pm.
