Through the efforts and generosity of many, the Bedford Food Bank Service was able to provide a robust Thanksgiving dinner to 175 Bedford households and counting.  This is more than double our number from last year.

With thanks to Victor Tom and the Bedford Rotary for these images

Dinners were made available to residents through the drive thru as well as the home delivery service.  Households received a full traditional ready to cook meal with a turkey and all the sides.  Also available was the pre-cooked option for those without cooking capacity.

We are very grateful to everyone who made this possible, including the Bedford Community Table/Pantry, the Greater Boston Food Bank, Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty, the Bedford Family Connection, St. Paul’s Nursery School, the Klein family, and Millipore-Sigma.

Stalwart helpers included CERT Team members Sarah Dorer, Norma Warner, Mary Levenstein, Lisa Cimino, Gail Black Smith, Matthew Siegal, Debbie Quinn, Susan Schwartz, Maureen Richichi and BFD Captain Mark Sullivan, along with Bedford residents Leslie Wittman, Paul Wittman, Linda Kellett, Sunita Tembulkar, Christine Speciale, Mary Ann Murphy and Larry Murphy.

In addition, we are grateful to Zoraida Emiliani and Dan Brosgol and Kid’s Club artists, BHS students Annie Bernstein, Sophia Mola, Karen Navon, Daniel Bendersky, the Bedford Rotary, Keith Mangan and the BHS Football Team, volunteer delivery drivers Amy Carmusin, Ann Guay, Debbie Quinn, Judi Babcock, and Tricia Anderson.

Finally, special thanks to Meaghan Sturgis and Town Manager Sarah Stanton as well as the entire Health and Human Services Department.
