Bedford High School swept to victory in the opening round of the MIAA Division 3 state volleyball tournament Friday afternoon. Seeded sixth in Division 3, the Bucs defeated Bishop Stang of North Attleboro, 3-0, in less than an hour.
Bedford won the match comfortably, amassing huge leads in the second (20-1) and third (18-1) sets.
The Bucs’ next opponent, in the BHS gymnasium, will be North Middlesex High School of Townsend in the round of 16. The date and time of the next match had not been announced as of Friday evening.
