The International Institute of New England (IINE) is resettling over four hundred Afghan evacuees in the Lowell, Greater Boston, and Manchester, NH areas.

As former refugees, Bopha Malone and Sophy Theam are hosting a fundraiser for the IINE to cover expenses that will not be subsidized by the U.S. government.

There are several ways you can contribute/help:

Purchase Cambodian merchandise which was handed down to the Theam family from the daughters of the deceased Master Dancer Somaly Hay, also a refugee.

All proceeds will go to the IINE Afghan Resettlement Program. Please see photos in the discussion posts and send a message to Bopha Malone or Sophy Theam as to which one(s) you’d like to purchase. You can also comment under the posted photos if you’d prefer. Checks can be made to the International Institute of New England or Venmo or Zelle if you prefer. Purchasers will be contacted about a pick-up in the Greater Lowell area.

Support the cause by donating directly to the IINE: iine.org/donate

Give needed items for new homes and arriving families: Contact Taylor Donaldson at volunteers@iine.org
