Your Gift to The Bedford Citizen Will Be Doubled!

Your support during The Bedford Citizen’s final fundraising drive of the year is crucial. From today through December 31, the first $20,000 in donations we receive will be doubled by NewsMatch, Suzanne and Company, and Werfen (formerly Instrumentation Laboratory). Your generosity will be amplified—and our appreciation will be boundless!

The Bedford Citizen’s membership in the prestigious Institute for Nonprofit News (INN) makes us eligible to take part in NewsMatch, a national matching-gift campaign that drives donations to nonprofit newsrooms in communities across America. NewsMatch believes that local journalism that informs is definitely worth supporting. So do we.

The Bedford Citizen has worked hard this year to stay abreast of breaking news. The Citizen covers key town committees and boards — and their actions — to meet its core mission: to inform you and engage you by reporting the news you need. Whether it’s developments at the Board of Health, this week’s Special Town Meeting, or budget preparations for Annual Town Meeting in March, we have kept our eye on the town so readers like you have the information you need as soon as we can get it to you.

If this has been valuable for you, please make your donation between November 1 and December 31. We need to raise $35,000, and only the first $20,000 will be matched, so make your gift today! Your gift will ensure that The Citizen brings you relevant and informative online news about our vibrant community. We extend our sincere thanks to each and every donor. We deeply appreciate your loyalty and support.

You can click on the donate button below and make a one-time gift or make regular monthly gifts. New monthly donations will be matched 12x (a full year’s worth), up to $1,000. Or send your check to The Bedford Citizen, PO Box 212, Bedford, MA 01730. The Bedford Citizen is a 501(c)3 organization, and all donations are tax-exempt to the extent allowed by law.
