8th Grade Travel Basketball Wins Opener, 55-46, Against Woburn

After winning the 7th Grade MetroWest championship last year, the Bedford 8th Grade Boys (blue) basketball team picked up where they left off, and started this season with an impressive 55-46 victory over Woburn.

Bedford was winning by 3 at halftime, but pulled away in the second half with clutch 3 pointers by Chase Brazee, Arin Parvate, and Chris Randazzo.

The scoring leaders for the game were Mehki Volcy (14 points), Jacob Bayer (11), Liam Brandt (8), and Randazzo (8), though there were solid contributions by the entire roster with strong defense, especially Lucas Puglielli, and the playmaking of Reece Gilmartin and Liam “Gramps” McCarthy.

Final Score: Bedford 55, Woburn 46
