After Friday’s 60-57 Win in Waltham, BHS Boys Basketball will Host Weston ~ Tuesday at 7 pm

December 19, 2021

The Bedford High School Buccaneers will aim to make it three wins in four December games Tuesday, when they entertain Weston High School beginning at 7 p.m. in boys’ basketball.

The Bucs hope there’s a carryover in momentum from their scintillating 60-57 victory at Waltham last Friday

Westford Academy trounced Weston Friday evening, 53-30, in the opening game for both teams. The Wildcats trailed by eight at the half, but the Cats were outscored 28-13 over the last 16 minutes.

At Waltham, the Bucs and the Hawks engaged in a great back-and-forth game, with Bedford sealing the win with a couple of late stops and five-for-five foul shooting by senior Max Alper (14 points).

Coach Anthony Halls praised Reidon Ford and Jacori McNeil for “outstanding defense on the tough Waltham backcourt,” and cited key contributions from Matthew Kazangian, Matthew Forman, and Justice Buchannan.

Senior Dylan DiGangi led the Buccaneer scoring with 16.

This will be the last varsity boys’ home game for a month. Bedford will compete in an invitational tournament at Auburn High school on Dec. 28 and 30.
