Who Knows What Questions will Pop Up at CSF Trivia Night ~ History? Sports? Pop Culture?

Here’s a trivia question for you: What annual Bedford fundraising event is undeterred by cold, snow, darkness—or a global pandemic?

If you said CSF of Bedford Dollars for Scholars’ Trivia Night—give yourself 10 points for a correct answer.

The annual event—virtual for the second straight year—is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12. Virtual “doors” open at 7 p.m., with the hour-long contest starting at 7:30. Proceeds will benefit the annual scholarship campaign.

Registration is $25 per player. Teams comprise between six and 10. Competitors don’t have to be in the same location, but every person on a screen counts as a player. Participation will be limited to 200.

Team captains can obtain registration details at the chapter website, bedfordma.dollarsforscholars.org.

“We are excited to be bringing people together (albeit virtually again this year) for a great cause,” said Tara Goss of the CSF of Bedford Board of Directors. “It should be a really fun time and we hope they can join us.”

The questions and scoring again will be handled by Stump! Trivia, with a format that features wagered answers, picture rounds, and bonus questions. There will be prizes for teams finishing first and second.

CSF of Bedford Dollars for Scholars has been raising and distributing college and other post-graduate scholarship funds to 12th graders who reside here or attend Bedford High School for more than 56 years. When the organization celebrates its annual awards night in May, it expects to pass the $3 million milestone in funds awarded to more than 3,300 recipients.

The chapter now has 64 separate endowed scholarships, with an endowment of more than $1.6 million. and this year awarded an additional 43 scholarships that are not endowed, as well as scores of awards funded by hundreds of donations from residents.
