Cabbage Patch Dolls in the seventies, Rubik’s Cube in the eighties, and Wordle in 2022?
Wordle is a simple word game that has become a pop culture phenomenon: The goal is to guess a five-letter word. You have six tries. After each guess, the tiles change colors to show which letters are not in the word (gray), which letters are in the word but in the wrong position (yellow) and which ones are correctly in the word and in the right position (green).
The game was originally created as a gift for the inventor’s partner to help pass the time during the pandemic.
