On Thursday, February 17, a forum open to the general public will address Annual Town Meeting Article 8, the proposed purchase of land for the relocation of the Bedford Fire Station to 139 The Great Road.
According to the Town’s website, the link for the 7 pm Zoom meeting is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85697880909?pwd=SVY1M1MrbEo4MUlXbDg0aFVnNHpldz09
The fire station proposal is apt to be one of the most significant issues facing Annual Town Meeting. Voters will be asked to approve the purchase of the proposed site, as well as funding for the design and project management.
To learn more about the proposal, visit www.bedfordma.gov/new-fire-station for information that includes a video tour of the current fire station, a frequently asked questions document, and an interactive map of the sites that were considered.
Bedford’s 2022 Annual Town Meeting will begin on Monday evening, March 28. The warrant will be mailed to voters prior to the meeting, but you do not have to wait to start learning about the most significant items voters will be asked to approve.
Is there any presentation from the town explaining why they need to relocate the fire station? What is the ROI? I don’t see a proposal anywhere, just a traffic study.
