Papa Gino’s pizza store at 310 The Great Road stood unoccupied for 3 years, 3 months, and 3 weeks before it fell to the jaws of an excavator on Wednesday.

The store closed abruptly on  November 4,  2018, along with the DeAngelo’s sandwich shop at 363 The Great Road when their then-parent company put several of its locations up for sale.

A mixed-use development by the property’s new owners, Lexington Realty Holdings LLC, was approved by the Planning Board a year ago, on February 23, 2021 (click this link to read The Citizen’s coverage of that meeting).

Should sell the DPW property and move it up to Carlisle Road. Such a waste of commerical real estate and lost tax revenue.
