The staff and residents of Carleton-Willard Village are happy to be able to support the people of Ukraine by shipping cartons of medical supplies to Poland, for delivery into Ukraine.  Mark C. Poznansky, MD, Ph.D., the director of the Vaccine and Immunotherapy Center, at Massachusetts General Hospital, and The Help Ukraine Group are arranging the shipment to Poland, and the subsequent delivery into Ukraine.

The Carleton-Willard auditorium has been closed due to the pandemic, but opened for residents to gather for a film of a concert for Ukraine; the General Store is selling Ukrainian flag buttons so staff and residents can show solidarity with Ukraine; and residents waiting for their Covid boosters watched Julian Lennon’s video of the John Lennon song, “Imagine.”

Carleton-Willard’s team, led by President and CEO Barbara Doyle, includes Cherie Noe, MD, Medical Director; Anne Brennan, Nursing Home Administrator; Lea Poulin, Director of Nursing; Susan Cusson, Clinic Administrator/Nurse Practitioner; Marcia Feldman, Palliative Care Coordinator; and Rich Kent, Purchasing Agent.
