The Town of Bedford is pleased to announce the 2022 schedule for collection of Household Hazardous Products. The collection will take place at the Town of Lexington Landfill Site at 60 Hartwell Avenue from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the following dates (which are Saturdays unless otherwise indicated): April 23, May 14, June 11, July 16, August 20, September 18 (this is a Sunday), October 15 and November 5.

Pre-registration is required, and the event is free of charge to Bedford residents. However, when you attend the event, you must show an ID or utility bill displaying your Bedford address. You may pre-register by clicking the following link or scanning the QR code: https://ACV-TEST-FORMS.formstack.com/forms/minuteman

Certain materials are not accepted as household waste at the event. Please view the list of acceptable and unacceptable materials under the Household Hazardous Waste tab on the Health Department’s website – https://www.bedfordma.gov/health-department or call the Health Department for this information.

In an effort to be efficient and to keep costs down, we ask you to come to the event with at least 10 gallons or 10 pounds of waste materials. That is the minimum per car for which we are charged. You can reach this amount by bringing your neighbors’ household hazardous wastes to the event along with yours. Please always remember these safety tips: ensure waste containers are secured for transport in the rear of your vehicle; never mix chemicals; store different items in different boxes; always leave materials in their original containers; and do not smoke while handling or transporting materials.

We hope you will participate in this important program which helps to ensure proper disposal of hazardous wastes from your home. Please contact the Bedford Health Department at 781-275-6507 with any questions or visit https://www.bedfordma.gov/health-department for additional event information.
