The Bedford Citizen has had an ongoing column called Bedford Explained for several years. The idea is simple, as the name suggests; we are in the business of explaining things around town. Traditions, events, names, rumors, memorials, tall tales, etc.
I know I’ve lived in Bedford for over 30 years, and there are things around here that make me curious; The horse trough on The Great Road? Who was the John Glenn Middle School named after? Not the astronaut!
After seeing these curiosities over and over again, they quickly become part of the scenery, without thought as to the how or why. But these things have a story.
That was the idea behind the column, and we thought it would be even more interesting to hear some of those stories from the people involved. That is the idea behind this podcast.
The Bedford Explained Podcast is hosted on Bedford TV
