Meet The Tutu Teacher, Vera Ahiyya, and Her New Book ~ ‘You Have a Voice”

~ Submitted by the Parents Diversity Council and BEST PTO

Meet Vera Ahiyya, author of the brand new book, ‘You Have a Voice.’ Ms. Ahiyya (formerly Davis hindergarten teacher, Ms. Corbett) will be the Author in Residence at Davis School on May 2 and 3.

The Parents Diversity Council and BEST PTO invite families to meet former Davis Kindergarten teacher, Vera Ahiyya, author of the brand new book, You Have a Voice! Ms. Ahiyya will be the Author in Residence at Davis on May 2 and 3.

On the evening of May 2, she will make a brief presentation at Davis School, read her book, then have time for Q and A and book signings.  Along with LOTS of hugs for former students who knew Ms. Ahiyya as Ms. Corbett when she taught kindergarten at Davis!

This event is open to all, but we have a max capacity of 100, so we ask all families to fill out a registration form.  If we must start a waitlist, we will prioritize former students, pre-K, and Lane families, since all the Davis students will have the chance to meet Ms. Ahiyya during the school day on either May 2 or 3.

Ms. Ahiyya’s presentation will take place in the Davis cafeteria at 6 PM on Monday, May 2.  Light refreshments will be provided.  A limited number of books will also be available for purchase; buy one there or bring your own for signing!
