The Bedford High School Performing Arts Department will present three extracurricular and student-run contemporary musical groups Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m. in Buckley Auditorium.
Featured will be the BellaChords a cappella group; the BHS Rock Band; and the independent band Elise & ‘Em.
The rock band, featuring about eight musicians, will be covering familiar songs by Elton John, Huey Lewis and the News, and other pop singers and groups. The BellaChords will join the band for one number.
Elise & ‘Em features four seniors: Elise Harfield on percussion, guitarist Prakhar Gupta, Ethan Lee on bass, and Andy Zhou playing piano. Gupta and Zhou handle the lead vocals.
The band has played together since freshman year. The wide-ranging repertoire features a cover of “Just the Two of Us,” made famous by Bill Withers and Grover Washington Jr.
