AFS, an international foreign exchange hosting program, seeks Bedford families interested in a unique, rewarding & enriching experience for one week this summer, as hosts for older (18 and 19-year-old) students from Indonesia, Philippines, Turkey, or Thailand. Students will be in Bedford during the week of July 11-17, 2022.
Most of the students have already graduated high school and are in their first year of university; their exchange experiences were delayed due to the pandemic.
The students have completed a rigorous, merit-based selection process, and have been awarded scholarships for this experience. They will spend their week in Bedford acting as youth ambassadors for their countries, enthusiastically engaging in community service & civic opportunities, and developing lifelong bonds with their host families.
The students are mostly proficient in English and all are COVID-vaccinated.
