This game demonstrated the hard work Bedford exhibits in each practice. Their conditioning shined as they played well in all phases of the game. They return home to play Newton on Mother’s Day.

BB 5/6 The Bedford/Belmont select team won their second game in a row in an exciting fashion over Arlington.

~ Submitted by Lady Whistledown

The BB Raiders were on the road last week to play Arlington at Belmont Hill School. Both teams were very evenly matched the whole game, with neither team able to take control of the game. At the end of the game, the score was 7-7 and went to sudden death overtime. Fourth-grader, Lucas Francone, scored in the first minute to win the game. Goalie, Jaxon Sylvester, had a great game, saving multiple shots late in the game. A defensive player scoring doesn’t happen often, but Ryan Betts scored with his long pole. Nicholas Breacher, Nolan Abel, and John Whitesides all played extremely well in the midfield and created many opportunities. It was a total team effort and the coaches were proud of how the kids took coaching from the sidelines. “There is improvement at all levels,” said Coach Betts after the game. The final score was 8 to 7.
