Two giants in eastern Massachusetts interscholastic girls’ lacrosse face off on Sabourin Field at 4:30 p.m. Thursday
Lincoln-Sudbury, one of the top teams in MIAA Division 1, will test Division 2 power Bedford, which edged an excellent Boston Latin School team in West Roxbury on Tuesday.
That 10-8 victory was Bedford’s first over the Wolfpack in five years. One key reason was Sophie Morrissey’s solid defense against Latin’s superstar Reagan O’Brien, who has more than 400 career goals and will play at Johns Hopkins next year.
Morrissey also scored two goals, as did teammates Allie Zorn, Astrid Yerardi, and Shannon Young. Adding single goals were Abby Morrissey and Gaby Zovko.
Next door at Miss G field, the softball team will host Lincoln-Sudbury, and the two schools will square off in girls’ tennis on the high school courts.
All of Thursday’s events start at 4:30 pm.
