Bedford Health Department Announces COVID-19 Pfizer Booster Clinic on Wed 6/8 – Ages 5 and older

A COVID-19 Pfizer Booster Clinic will be hosted by the Bedford Health Department at the John Glenn Middle School, 99 McMahon Road, Bedford (gym entrance) on Wednesday, June 8th from 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm. Only Pfizer boosters will be available at this clinic and are available to anyone 5 years of age and older.

COVID-19 Vaccine Booster eligibility:

1st Booster

If you’re age 5 or older and it’s been at least 5 months since your 2nd primary dose of Pfizer, you can receive your 1st booster of Pfizer.

If you’re 18+ and it’s been at least 5 months since your 2nd primary series dose of Moderna, you can receive your 1st booster.

If you’re 18+ and it’s been at least 2 months since your single primary dose of Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine, you can receive your 1st booster.

2nd Booster

If you’re age 12+, moderately or severely immunocompromised, and it’s been 3 months since your 1st booster, you can receive a 2nd booster.

If you’re at least age 50, not immunocompromised, and it’s been at least 4 months since your 1st Pfizer or Moderna booster, you can receive a 2nd booster.

If you’re not-immunocompromised, received Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine as your primary vaccination and 1st booster, and it’s been at least 4 months since your 1st Jansen booster, you can receive a 2nd booster.

Please make a separate appointment for each person receiving a vaccine. The clinic is free and open to those age 5+ who live in and work in Bedford. Your appointment confirmation email will include a link to the COVID-19 Booster Registration Form.  Please print and complete this Registration Form for each person receiving a vaccination You must bring with completed Booster Registration Form with you to your appointment along with your ID and COVID-19 Vaccination Card or proof of your previous COVID-19 vaccination(s) with you.

When arriving at the clinic, please wear a mask and clothing that allows for easy access to your arm for vaccine administration. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. It is very important to speak with your primary care provider to determine eligibility for booster vaccines and to discuss recommended vaccine series if you are moderately or severely immunocompromised.
