Do you know that Bedford boasts more than 25 cultural assets in its Cultural District?
For a chance to experience all (or at least most of them) the Cultural District Partnership hopes that residents will take part in a Scavenger Hunt from 10 am to 2 pm on June 11 during the District’s town-wide Celebration and Grand Opening.
Strolling through the district during Saturday’s launch is intended to bring families and individuals face-to-face with the Town’s arts, cultural, and historic heritage. From Depot Park to Willson Park, friends and families are encouraged to seek out and visit the venues that make our Cultural District so special.
Visitors will find Peace Poles, buildings listed in the National Register of Public Places, public art and individual artists, musical performances, galleries, and don’t forget Bedford’s restaurants and retail businesses.
Collect your Scavenger Hunt card at the Cultural District tent on the Common, or at one of the eight Open Houses.
Get a sticker each time you visit an Open House, then return to the Cultural District table on the Common and receive a prize if you’ve accumulated 8 stickers.
More information on the Bedford Cultural District is available at www.bedfordma.gov/culturaldistrict.
