Covid-19 – It’s Still Here! – What’s Bedford Thinking?

July 19, 2022

We thought we would try to revisit a previous poll, (we did just get back from vacation).  I don’t know about you but it seems Covid is everywhere, lurking, ready to get its next person.  Less scary, more a sense of inevitability.  We just came back from the Cape and our plans were changed several times due to people testing positive.  Thankfully no one needed to be hospitalized but it was “not nothing,” they said.

With the latest surge of Covid-19 and the omicron BA.5 variant, in particular,  the number of people testing positive is unprecedented (again) during this pandemic.  There are many reasons, mostly the transmissibility of the omicron sub-variant.  The good news is that the vaccines seem still to be effective in terms of severe illness and hospitalizations.

We asked this question back in January and we will ask it again.

January 2022 Results:

No One (17%, 37 Votes)
1 – 4 people (42%, 90 Votes)
5 – 10 people (24%, 51 Votes)
Over 10 people (17%, 36 Votes)
Total Voters: 214

Since June 1, How many people in your “circle” do you know who are dealing with Covid?  “Circle” is defined as do you know a person or are you one step removed—a friend of a friend.  No celebrities or politicians.

What’s Bedford Thinking?   Since June 1 How many people in your circle are dealing with Covid cases?
