The Bedford Citizen to add a New Staff Position: Content Manager

We mentioned in a recent article that change is afoot at The Citizen as we continue to work to expand our coverage and meet reader expectations.  As part of that effort, The Citizen has identified a new paid position of Content Manager.

This position is part-time (20 hours per week) and will report to the Managing Editor.  In brief, the Content Manager (CM) is responsible for the public face of The Citizen on its website and social media platforms.  The CM will post stories and articles and manage the daily newsfeed, and attend weekly Editorial Committee meetings to discuss content ideas and ensure conformity with editorial policies.  The ideal candidate will have a journalism background and experience with CMS, social media posting and tracking.  Excellent writing and communication skills are essential.
