Patricia Swallow Pease passed away on July 31, 2022, at age 104. Born in Yorkshire, England, Mrs. Pease trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art before joining the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force in 1939. A wartime romance brought Mrs. Pease to the US in 1940 to marry her husband of 64 years, Hoyt Pease. After her husband’s death in 2004, Mrs. Pease moved to Concord, and then to Carleton-Willard Village in 2016. She volunteered at Emerson Hospital’s information desk well into her 90s.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 11:00 am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 81 Elm St., Concord. Burial will be private at Abel’s Hill Cemetery in Chilmark, MA in September. A celebration of her life will take place next summer at “Swallow’s Way” at a date and time to be determined.
